McCool still taunted James despite losing?and Mickie inadvertently got Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero involved in their feud by spilling food on her.Just this week, Mickie and Michelle had a rematch on Smackdown for the Women's Championship, with Vickie as the guest referee. I will say though, having the title on Maryse is a good thing, because she is the most over heel in nearly the whole Diva roster, and she gets a good reaction from the crowd.Over on Smackdown , Mickie James won the women's title and humiliated her bully, Michelle McCool, almost a month ago at the Royal Rumble PPV. Kelly Kelly is probably the most over face on RAW?which is not saying much?but she has not had a significant match or push in quite some time. With all of the guest hosts on the show and more time being given to them, the Divas have nostory lines, no direction?and therefore, no significance on the show, even in having a champion. The two then had a completely lackluster match, with Maryse coming out the victor, now the first two-time Divas Champion. The real problem with that whole situation was that it was pretty obvious to everyone that Maryse was going to win?simply because of the prebuild she had against Melina when Maryse returned.Raw now has an issue with having no over face that can really lead the roster. Gail Kim match at the Elimination Chamber PPV, the WWE pulls a bait and switch and drops it from the crowd. The Divas Championship Tournament bracket has been complete for some time now?and the WWE, with each week, lessened the importance of the title and match between the two divas with the complete lack of storyline and buildup.Just when we thought we were going to get the Maryse vs. This week in WWE Land, we have had a new Divas and Women's Champion crowned. On Monday Night Raw , Maryse and Gail Kim had their long-awaited match in the Divas Championship Tournament, with Maryse coming out the victor and being crowned the new Divas Champion. On Smackdown , thanks in part to Vickie Guerrero, Michelle McCool defeated Mickie James and recaptured the Women's Championship. With these two major moves happening in the WWE in just one week, my very first reaction to both moves is: So what? The Raw Divas roster has been in a bit of shambles since the constant switching?and now especially with Melina being injured.
Whether or not he can help the Blazers, we just might get a glimpse in Las Vegas Summer League 2010 - IF he decides to participate. This article is also featured on Bust a Bucket - A Portland Trail Blazers Blog. But the reality is that no matter what the Finns think, Koponen is already a very realiable player in international competition and he already has a few potential employers in the big league. To convince his fellow countrymen, Koponen would at least have to be an NBA All Star. For the last three years, Finnish basketball fans have labeled him overrated, but his breathtaking improvement hasn't been left unnoticed. Patty Mills has skills and an NBA-ready body, but the Blazers faithful have been pretty much comparing him to Taurean Green.Even for Finns, Koponen is still an enigma. Coach doesn't seem to like playing Jerryd Bayless, probably because Blazers already have a dominant ball-handling (pause) guard in Brandon Roy. While Blazers had a logjam at guard position just a couple of months ago, there seems to be a lot of room for Koponen right now Sergio Rodriguez is gone, Steve Blake is gone Andre Miller is stable, but not getting younger Rudy Fernandez is reportedly unhappy with his minutes.
Unless Koponen suddenly starts to underachieve, it's a win-win situation for the club: he is either the future face of the franchise or someone Virtus can get big money from.Portland Trailblazers may be the San Antonio Spurs of the future; a gutty, disciplined, good defensive team full of veterans that can afford having a half dozen players abroad. If Koponen keeps on improving and takes his team to a surprise title, both Euroleague and NBA teams would definitely pay Virtus a hefty dose of Euros to get him. But it is worth noticing that giving Siena a fight and snatching a Euroleague spot would be a dream come true for Virtus Bologna. And of course, Virtus Bologna's plans are centered around Petteri Koponen: last year he barely played, this year he is among the three best players in his team and next year he is supposed to be The Man. are ok, but none of them really have the potential to win Siena in best-of-seven series unless Siena implodes. Montepaschi Siena is the creme de la creme of Italian basketball Virtus Bologna, Pepsi Caserta, Armani Jeans Milano et al. They lack the talent and the big game experience of Montepaschi Siena, but as we can see, things haven't been too good for Siena lately.Ok, let us be realistic for a while.
